For you my valentine forever :)

So here comes agian 14th february. The day of love as people call it. Well i go back into the glimpses of past. Yet another year passes by with some old memories. Whoever says time heals everything does not know the pain of clinging. I would like to share something about my best friend...

I always wished that i had the kind of best friend i could just text a code word to and she would know exactly how to respond, the friend who would say "let's just hand out this weekend" and i would want nothing but uninterrupted time with her; the friend who would hear when i am sick and shows up with a bowl of soup. the friend who includes me in everything; whispers secret to me that she tells to no one else and the one who just always seem to want to be with me the same amount of time that i want to be with her.

When i am feeling little nagging angst of lneliness- it's for her that i want. It's for the fantasy best friend that i now would be Thelma to Louise, Raj to Simran, The laughter to our joke and even the fork to spoon. she would be the finisher of my sentences, the reader of my mind and the affirmer of my heart. Our time together will be easy, safe and comfortable.

The only friend she is who can bring my anger down. Someone with whom i want to spend the whole day with and never regretted, with whom i can form a well understood, synchronised partnership above all differences. People stay jealous but friendship is above all jealousy and just jump over the dumb peoples brain. she understands me better than i ever knew myself. The perfect hug in the right time and the correct method to stop you from entering into a wrong path. Closer than your girlfriend she is, loves you more than your lover, cares for you almost as your mother. I hate to see her go, it pull out all that i had from me. No matter what happens , how stuff changes, circumstances alter, how many fights and arguments i had with her, we guys stick by because thats what friendship is and my bestfriend is worth it!!! I proudly admit today that i love my best friend and no one can betray this fact...
I admit that i had that kind of friend in my life but due to some unavoidable circumstances she is not with me any more and we can never be together aswell. we even stopped talking or rarely we talk.
But above all these , i miss her a lot and always wish that she could be back in my life

people may be thinking why i am writing about my best friend on valentines day. Well she was everything to me including my lover ;). unlucky i am coz i missed date with her this 14th feb...

Sometimes just a glimpse of you may suffice
but today is not the day of that kind
            morning walks and activa rides
are still safe in my hearts old mine

With a stranger i talked all night
reincarnating the past in a shady room
with a sranger i smiled
to let it go in the darkest hour

some old pictures bring lots of memories tied together
though i am trying hard not to remember you
as u said u will feel guilty
but i am unable to do so

please someone help me out
someone bring me out of this trauma
i want to live a happier life
with you by my side

at times i think that you were a treasure i won but didn't deserve...i still have to say that i am not lucky but blessed to have you...Can't sleep...i am thinking about you. May be i am dreaming. Anyway i can't tell...all i know is that you are all that is left on my mind. I know u can't come back and we can never be together but i just wish and pray for you to stay happy forever wherever you are and don't miss me much...

#AIB knockout and Indian mentality

Watched the #AIB knockout??? Yeah??? fine read on...

Guys there is no right or wrong!!!
Everything  depends on whether we believe in the choices we make...
All India Bakchod chose to make the "knockout roast videos" which was damn entertaining, bold , daring, valiant, and really progressive.
I chose to watch it and i loved the video, so did million others. But unfortunately this is India, where culture speaks, tradition echoes, where even joke is not taken as sportingly...
Well welcome to India
A country where homosexuals are fighting for their right to be accepted,
A country where terrorists and Anti Nationals are having a free run
A country where women and kids are still asked to behave and not where short clothes while rapists are ignored
Welcome to land of KAMASUTRA where sex education in school is still frowned upon

How can you dare to make a ROAST where each and every politicians are busy roasting the citizens on a daily basis...

#India #not #country #for #funny #men
#India #not #country #for #free #men

Many people responded to the video that their so called sentiments were hurt and their hypocritical morality sabotaged. Once again moronic religious radicals have it their way. The whole point of internet is freedom from such censorship restrictions. Don't think we as society will ever grow up.

Ya i agree some jokes were disrespectful. But the opening warning before the video made very clear that if you take offense, please don't watch. See i don't think anyone here is a fan of rough, abusive and offensive language,  so ya it kinda irked to listen so much of it in a single video but roast is all about this. The definition of roast according to dictionary "its a subject to laughter and ridicule, a form of public insult". I mean you can't enter a chinese restaurant and expect them to serve you dosa. It is supposed to be offensive. And overall no one was forced to watch it. #AIB didn't buy airtime on every single tv channel to broadcast it. Youtube videos does not autoplay in front of you but yet it has more than 8.5 million views. Far more importantly on youtube the people who liked the video outnumbered the people by ten times then who disliked it.

I am sometimes at sixes and seven where our country is heading. The problem with most of us Indians is that we are such hypocrites. We prefer to laugh on dirty jokes, watch porn but publicly mentioning any of this shit would be a crime . I am not against onanism or saying onanism is a bad thing. After all its quite natural but when you can do this inside four walls of your room, you can search for sunny leone on internet, read adult jokes and give a good laugh, then whats the problem in speaking in public.

We can censor, ban, destroy, kill and possibly do anything as long as we fit in the word #CULTURE and #TRADITION in there somewhere!!! Also government, dirty politics, rapes, female foeticides, illiteracy, unemployment,  and terrorism are probably graver issues than banning a youtube video i guess.

Grow up Indians...You dont need to band anything just because it does not appeal to your sensibilities. These are not videos inciting people to commit crime. However stupid they may be.
Don't you think that we need to focus on more paramount and relevant issues...
Yes to some extent even i agree that some jokes were really offensive. But they did all these for a noble cause and i respect #AIB for this. Moreover the people who have been roasted they themselves did not mind it, then who the hell are you all to hate it and no where in the Indian Constitution it says that roasting is not a part of indian culture or cannot be a part of indian culture....
Finally quoting the famous taylor swift "HATERS GONNA HATE.... HATE.... HATE

Let me end it here with a joke...

A hindu, a muslim and a christian enter a bar...

Unfortunately we can't let you in on rest of the joke. Its against our Indian culture.
Those who wanna have good laugh, ping me......

in simplicity lies ecstasy!!!1

Inspired by Priyanka Chakraborty.... :)

In character, in manner, in style, in all things, the supreme excellence is simplicity. There is serene beauty in simplicity. This inspired me to jot down this.

Its always simple that produce the marvelous...

Did we ever thought that how all our lives we tend to run after the most extra-ordinary things in the world? After all it is humankind’s innate desire to possess all the precious gems that make them do the most unbelievably bizarre things in the world!!! But it is the quest for the rarest things that make me wonder on the mere motive of our existence. For our tendency to ignore the simple things and yearn for an unfathomable dream that seems alluring only to our eyes beats the joy of leading a purely simple and blissful life. After all, what is left to achieve when joy chooses to cease our life due to our silly idiosyncrasies! Nothing but pangs of frustration runs through my body to see how easily all of us fall prey to the glaring atrocities disguised in the form of ‘good-life’. How all of us continue to misunderstand the difference between ‘virtual’ and ‘real’ happiness? Our inability to see the beauty of simple things sets the ball rolling for all our troubles. A pity that most of us tend to view this as an overtly unmotivated way to live!

What we fail to notice and accept is that the might of simple things is immense. What needs to be changed is our mindset. Over centuries we continue to believe in the assumption that a simple thing or product is plain and a rare thing or product is precious. It is ‘we’ who set rules of what is simple and rare. If you ponder for a while you’ll realize what I am trying to communicate! Do you feel any different when you eat lip-smacking roll from a road-side stall to when you’re dining at an 5 star restaurant? Yes, the setting makes a miniscule difference but the end result remains the same. And that is in both places we end up filling our stomach only! I am still unable to unravel the mystery then why is simple plain and rare precious?

Infact, decipher this. The various intricacies of life that we have to deal with everyday make  life very comlicated. ‘Simple’ and ‘Simplicity’ the two most rare and valued thing in today’s time. Which means that mankind’s quintessential search of attaining the extra-ordinary is nothing but an attempt to armour their many follies. Simple living / Simplicity / Simple life scores above the rare because in simplicity lies a rarity. It gives us an opportunity to live life like a child again. It lets us embrace life whole-heartedly and makes us let go of our inhibitions. It teaches us that we don’t have to travel miles to touch the rare gem. Rather, just listen to our heart-beats well that always and only sways to the tune of a simple life. Because in simplicity lies ecstasy!

In the middle of the road,
Stuck at the half route,
Seeking the future,
Yet, looking at the bygones.
No regrets, yet negativity,
Patience, was once the attribute,
Now tested  beyond the limits,
Polished, to the point of finish.
Finally finding the way to destiny,
Yet, a long road  awaits ,
Baby steps taken, to love, to passion,
Interrupted often , wary being.
Halfway learnings, I call the story,
Of love, of infatuations, of muses,
Half likings, wrong assumptions,
I call all that stay, and the ones gone.
Wrongs often attracted, fuel and leave,
Rights often attract, nicety give moments,
A cup of coffee, or maybe the cup of tea,
One is a mystic, the other often taken.
Life is a swirling highway, twisted turns,
I seek simple directions, for hurt too much,
Yet it hopes, believes and likes magic,
For sparks they leave, signs of an alive heart.

yes i admit that i miss her!!!!

When two persons talk after a long time, they have loads of things to share and talk specially when you stayed awake talking with her till morning. I don't even had a little idea how time passed with her, actually not pass, it flowed like a wind.

Actually we were very good friends. I just love talking with her and sharing things with her.  She was very unique, attractive and funny in her own way. I can bet people can never get bore with her. She is so so so interesting.

Our story started like she was my junior in school.  We rarely had a conversation in our school.  Her elder sister is a very good friend of mine. So, via her sister i started talking with her. With time being passed, we became very good friends, started talking daily, shared almost everything. I flirted with her a lot and she also surprisingly did sometimes. But i never loved her or something like that came into my mind.  I was very clear with my limits. We just keep on talking and sharing things as much as possible.  I trusted her like i was never betrayed.  Someone whom i know like the back of my hand, with whom i can spend the whole day talking. She was the last person i like to talk with before i go to sleep because talking with her makes me forgets everything. But then one day i dont know whose black eyes fell on our friendship..... Everything changed

Then suddenly i dnt even know what happened to her, she stopped replying to my msgs. She suddenly replied "its over,, never msg me anymore. I dnt wanna talk with you." and blocked me. I was like shattered from inside. Such a good friend of mine left me for no reason.

I was all alone and my mind somewhere else.  Being addressed by her in a few hell words, it was killing my mind, i cant even solve surds... She started coming in my dreams, i see her even in coffee cups. I was defeated, i quit, sadly says The Damn-Edged Atul.....

I was sure it was not love..  actually i had a bad habit of thinking and talking to her. i just wanted to be her best friend. Yeah it was definitely not love, yeah i was so beaten up, its hard but true to regret being the master mind, just she was revolving around, another my mind couldn't find. I kept on thinking , i have always received bluff being too good to others because people never understood me.

My mind kept on saying me that i was misunderstood. But internally i know well that i was not wrong, it was you who was so rude. You don't recognize me anymore, i m perished in ash, found no blood though the heart is squeezed in squash. Before i was very cheerful, i was not so dumb. But from that day my life has changed, i have become so numb!!  One day like my hair, my heart will curl, I realized i have become so lonely just because of a girl.  Ya i admit that i cant forget her, i will miss her forever. She was so damn sweet with me but just because of a girl i cant make my life null and hell all above....

I miss her even now and will miss her forever.  I hope whenever she realizes her fault, she will come back to me and start talking with me. The memories i wrote together with her will remain forever with me..... :(

Life moves on

I fall and I pick myself up,
I lose hope yet I dream,
I am lost and I find myself again,
I cry and I laugh through tears,
I despair yet I believe.

Little  i have seen the cruel world,
Little i will ever see
As i choose to asleep,
For I am scared of reality.
Everyone says smile looks good on my face
But people never gave me a reason to smile
Always gave me poignant ways.
I remember the way  I cracked the harmless jokes,
And laughed the sweet innocent way, for all it was worth,
The way i talked joyous and happy,
The energetic jumps, untouched by lethargy!
Never did I expect them to die,
Nor hope them to pass by!!
But time bought me to such circumstances
Fighting the race changed my life,
Though memories of past never faded away from my mind,
No matter where destiny leads me through the wave of time
Life will go on and I will also move on forever with it!!!!

Review of Waiting On You

WAITING ON YOU by Kristan Higgins is rife with emotion and not as cookie-cutter as you'd expect a small town contemporary romance to be.

Colleen O'Rourke is the beloved bar owner/matchmaker in the small town of Manningsport, New York. She has found contentment with her lot in life with the help of some awesome friends, loving and supportive (often times annoying) family, prosperous business with unique regulars, and a faithful dog named Rufus. That's not to say the betrayal of her first love marrying another woman or her father's infidelity and subsequent neglect doesn't make her feel blue .  Will the calm she worked so hard to develop be disrupted beyond repair when a blast from the past blows into town?

10 years, a miscarriage, failed marriage, and sick uncle later, Lucas Campbell finds his way back to the small town that never really felt like home. His only family included an aunt that went above and beyond to make him feel like an outsider, a dimwitted but lovable cousin, and the kind but preoccupied brother of his father. It wouldn't be nearly as frustrating if his ex-girlfriend wasn't butting in at every turn and trying to set the cousin up with someone who was obviously a waste of time (or was she?).

Characters both young and old learn from their mistakes and find contentment in exactly who they are. When misunderstandings from the past float to the surface, a second chance at first love just might persevere.

My Favorite Part of the Book:
Was the complexity of the relationship between Colleen and her father. This dynamic resonated with me deeply and was written in a very convincing and poignant way. I love when I can see little pieces of myself and true life struggles in the books that I am reading and it's nice to be on the outside looking in on something that hits close to home.  I connected a lot more with the characters because of this.

Every time I read a book by this author I have some pop culture comparatives to mention; This book was like Cheers meets the soap opera Passions (anyone else remember Passions!?!).

A must read book for all avid readers.
