Watched the #AIB knockout??? Yeah??? fine read on...
Guys there is no right or wrong!!!
Everything depends on whether we believe in the choices we make...
All India Bakchod chose to make the "knockout roast videos" which was damn entertaining, bold , daring, valiant, and really progressive.
I chose to watch it and i loved the video, so did million others. But unfortunately this is India, where culture speaks, tradition echoes, where even joke is not taken as sportingly...
Well welcome to India
A country where homosexuals are fighting for their right to be accepted,
A country where terrorists and Anti Nationals are having a free run
A country where women and kids are still asked to behave and not where short clothes while rapists are ignored
Welcome to land of KAMASUTRA where sex education in school is still frowned upon
How can you dare to make a ROAST where each and every politicians are busy roasting the citizens on a daily basis...
#India #not #country #for #funny #men
#India #not #country #for #free #men
Many people responded to the video that their so called sentiments were hurt and their hypocritical morality sabotaged. Once again moronic religious radicals have it their way. The whole point of internet is freedom from such censorship restrictions. Don't think we as society will ever grow up.
Ya i agree some jokes were disrespectful. But the opening warning before the video made very clear that if you take offense, please don't watch. See i don't think anyone here is a fan of rough, abusive and offensive language, so ya it kinda irked to listen so much of it in a single video but roast is all about this. The definition of roast according to dictionary "its a subject to laughter and ridicule, a form of public insult". I mean you can't enter a chinese restaurant and expect them to serve you dosa. It is supposed to be offensive. And overall no one was forced to watch it. #AIB didn't buy airtime on every single tv channel to broadcast it. Youtube videos does not autoplay in front of you but yet it has more than 8.5 million views. Far more importantly on youtube the people who liked the video outnumbered the people by ten times then who disliked it.
I am sometimes at sixes and seven where our country is heading. The problem with most of us Indians is that we are such hypocrites. We prefer to laugh on dirty jokes, watch porn but publicly mentioning any of this shit would be a crime . I am not against onanism or saying onanism is a bad thing. After all its quite natural but when you can do this inside four walls of your room, you can search for sunny leone on internet, read adult jokes and give a good laugh, then whats the problem in speaking in public.
We can censor, ban, destroy, kill and possibly do anything as long as we fit in the word #CULTURE and #TRADITION in there somewhere!!! Also government, dirty politics, rapes, female foeticides, illiteracy, unemployment, and terrorism are probably graver issues than banning a youtube video i guess.
Grow up Indians...You dont need to band anything just because it does not appeal to your sensibilities. These are not videos inciting people to commit crime. However stupid they may be.
Don't you think that we need to focus on more paramount and relevant issues...
Yes to some extent even i agree that some jokes were really offensive. But they did all these for a noble cause and i respect #AIB for this. Moreover the people who have been roasted they themselves did not mind it, then who the hell are you all to hate it and no where in the Indian Constitution it says that roasting is not a part of indian culture or cannot be a part of indian culture....
Finally quoting the famous taylor swift "HATERS GONNA HATE.... HATE.... HATE
Let me end it here with a joke...
A hindu, a muslim and a christian enter a bar...
Unfortunately we can't let you in on rest of the joke. Its against our Indian culture.
Those who wanna have good laugh, ping me......

thanks @ snehal... hope people understand
ReplyDeletecriticiseing India never has a full stop for me... being a girl in india i have even more issue with it...
ReplyDeletethis issue according to me is a blessing in disguise for india... atleast now people are increasing their voice aginst the injustice which is prevailing in india...
the important issues are left behind by creating such non important ones... but how much will this effect us... i bet if tomorrow i go and talk in public about topics like wearing short cloths.. using abusive language... sex..etc.. i ill the one who will either be shunned or made a joke...
what india needs is a total change in its mentality and how it looks at things... until then many roast videos wil come n go.. there will be many same issues... but at last we will remain where we were...
I completely agree with your point of view. but people in India are not raising voices against authoritative and crucial issues. The present #AIB video is a perfect example of silly indian mentality.
Deletewell talking about indian moral values...Ah, the good old Indian Values, where it's okay to abuse your wife in front of your kids, but not give her a light kiss.
I really don't know why "freedom of speech" is even a topic of discussion in this country. If the Freedom of Speech is conditional, it is not freedom at all. Now, all we need to do is push the boundaries, not once, but again and again, so that it is established in the minds of the people that the laws are outdated and need to be revisited.
Sarcasm is like Electricity, half of the Indians are yet to get it.
Rapes, riots, corruption, nobody gives a damn... A comedy group uploads a harmless video on youtube and everybody loses their minds.
Ya our generation has chaged a bit but then also a revolution still is awaiting...

everyone may have their own opinion....but filing FIR is against their freedom of speech...u may like or dislike...that's all upto u....u can criticise them...bt no FIR....
ReplyDeletei could not get your point kangkan... can you please elaborate
Deletehave u heard that FIR is filed against the team AIB,kj,rk & ak???? i am against this....u may dislike( hwevr i can't find any pt to dislike) such jokes...bt u can't file FIR...that's my point...
ReplyDeletethats what i mentioned above also... it was just a comedy video. it did not incite people to commit crime. and niether people were forced to watch it.So their is no point of filing a fir. i have even heard that a maharashtra party said that the movies of kj, rk and ak will not be shown there and they will try not to let other people to work with them
Deletethis is india.....though the no of educated people r increasing bt mentality is not changing......we have to think deeply on it...same things happened to pk ....so what can we do?????
ReplyDeletei do not agree with you pointing out pk... in pk the whole attack was on hindu religion.. hindu saint.. hindu temples.. it was not on all cultures... n it was right for our people to go against it...
Deletei agree that there is blind faith in our religion.. but it does not mean others are free of it.. so y was the attack on hinduism only... nothing was said againt the bishops or maulis.. why only the gurujis were attacked...
i dont say that our religion is perfect... it certainly needs improvement... needs to grow with the scientific development... for me it was copletely correct for our people to stand for our religion...
well to this point of you i disagree... There is nothing so called religion. Its a human started business. Where there is religion there is no space for truth, there will be fights.
DeleteAs said in OMG movie " Religion is made for humans... human is not made for religion". So i dnt think a stand is required for your religion. just keep devotion if you believe in god which i dont do
